Nection Latisana is a new secure truck parking area (SSTPA) located in a strategic industrial area in north-eastern Italy. The project is part of a European network of secure and comfortable parking areas for international transport and is currently under development. It is certified at Gold level, complying with European quality and safety standards for secure parking areas.

Through the CEF project – Development of a Secure Truck Parking Area in Latisana, a new Secure Truck Parking Area (SSTPA) has been built in Ronchis (Latisana), Italy, strategically located in the TEN-T Mediterranean and Baltic-Adriatic corridors, along the A4 motorway, near Palmanova, a key logistics hub connecting northeast Italy with Slovenia and the Balkans.

NECTION Latisana offers 301 parking spaces for heavy goods vehicles, along with modern service facilities and utilities designed to improve driver well-being and operational reliability.

NECTION Latisana has successfully passed the official audit and meets the EU requirements for Gold Level SSTPA certification, in accordance with Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1012.

By addressing the current shortage of secure truck parking in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, this project contributes to improving road safety, reducing congestion, and strengthening the resilience of the freight transport system.

This initiative is part of the first phase of a Global Project to develop a pan-European network of 48 certified SSTPAs in Italy, Slovenia, Spain, France and the Netherlands, supporting a safer and more efficient European mobility framework.
